Brands I love – Soho Home

Soho Home is a modern interiors brand designed for relaxed, sociable living. With more than 25 years of design heritage, the range was created to mirror the look and feel of Soho Houses around the world.

The brand was born when Soho House guests began asking if they could buy their favourite pieces from around the Houses. The brand was launched in 2016 as a small collection fo staples a diverse interiors brand that includes furniture, tableware, accessories, lighting, home fragrance, and textiles. The Chelsea Showroom is a wonderful place to visit.

Here are my top ten favourite pieces from www.sohohome.com.

Lydia Chandelier

The Lydia chandelier was created to reference the standout lighting styles seen at Soho House Barcelona. Characterised by a five-tier chevron, the amber glass panels are created by placing molten glass in a steel mould, which is hand-sprayed to create an ombre effect. Hang the chandelier in a main living area to centralise your space and create great visual effect.

Paolo Bed, Sycamore Leather

Taking its cues from the bedrooms at Soho House Rome, the Paolo bed is beautifully made from Italian chestnut leather and solid walnut uprights with leather straps and antique brass foot caps. A classic, tan leather headboard is characterised by intricately stitched panelling for a heritage feel. Make it the focal point of your bedroom with warm tones through soft textiles.

Audrey Two Seater Sofa

Inspired by the classic interiors of Babington House, the Audrey sofa is cut from velvet and shows their take on a traditional cigar arm. The feather-wrapped foam seat cushions enhance the deep-sit lounger shape, while oversized scatter cushions give a homely feel.

Ferris Square Cushion, Olive

Depicting authentic woodblock prints, which have been beautifully created in India, the Ferris cushion is crafted from 100% cotton in calming olive tones. The design draws inspiration from the decorative accents seen throughout Soho Farmhouse.

Hugo Rug

Inspired by the love-worn, Persian rugs at Babington House, the Hugo rug is made with a wool pile and hand-knotted in India by skilled artisans. A vintage-style design in soft tones complements a variety of interiors and textures, including linen and velvet.

Barwell Cut Crystal Champagne Coupe

Rogaška Glassworks has been producing crystalware in its factories since 1927. This is also where Soho House’s signature Barwell collection is made. A set of skilled craftsmen use mouth-blowing techniques to form the shape, before each glass is intricately cut, inspected and hand-polished for a brilliant finish with a weighty feel. Used in all of the Houses, the Barwell crystal remains a timeless firm favourite.

Hillcrest dining range

Crafted from robust Tuscan stoneware, the Hillcrest range is handmade in Italy by skilled craftspeople who have been producing ceramics in a village outside Florence for 40 years. Drawing on the rustic interiors at Soho Farmhouse, each piece is glazed and embellished by hand, with the individual marks of the maker adding charm and character.

The Dam Mad Stars by Ed Burkes

Soho Home also sells unique artworks such as this wonderful painting from multi-award-winning painter Ed Burkes. Burkes holds the belief that music, language and art all have a mutual effect on one another. Text is as important a feature as the imagery itself in his vibrant artworks – which reference his surroundings both currently and historically – inviting speculation where chopped and sampled phrases or statements are spotted.

Barrel Coffee Table

Intricately designed with smooth oak cylinders that create its characteristic barrel shape, this coffee table will add a fresh focal point to any room. The drum top is finished with antiqued brass that’s treated for a naturally aged quality, making each one unique. It’s inspired by designs from 180 House, on London’s Strand.

I love the Soho Home look – it’s sexy, glamorous and comfortable!
