Each space is a full-sized room complete with ceilings and the designers have free rein to create a space to showcase their work.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a huge space, stretching 500 square metres, and is a must-visit event for every interior designer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed to be an immersive journey to experience at first-hand the work of the best interior designers in the world,\u00a0a walk through the nineteen spaces takes you through all the most important design trends of the year.\u00a0\u00a0Here I will guide you through most of the main rooms, to give you a flavour of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Benedict-.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Benedict-.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7013\" style=\"width:837px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Benedict-.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Benedict--300x214.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The tour starts with an entrance hall designed by super-cool designer of the moment, Benedict Foley for Zoffany. Inspired by Visconti\u2019s film The Leopard, Benedict draped the walls in fabric to create the effect of damask dresses. Fabric used on walls was a recurrent theme of the Wow!house designers this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/ali-dad.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"525\" height=\"350\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/ali-dad.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7014\" style=\"width:838px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/ali-dad.jpg 525w, https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/ali-dad-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This foyer was followed by the first room \u2013 designer Alidad\u2019s Watts 1874 Legend Room, a maximalist\u2019s dream designed to showcase Alidad\u2019s&nbsp;knowledge and eye for antiques and textiles. This room had a painted ceiling, as did many of the rooms. I loved the romantic feel the colours gave to this room \u2013 deep greens, delicate sages, raspberry and the soft dusky pink on the walls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large a four poster bed is a rather wonderful extravagant addition to a bedroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a bath was the centrepiece, but the green tiles, the green marble sink tops, the beautiful mirrors and lighting and the chequered floor were all beautifully curated in this stunning space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/lucy.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" Giles celebrated the 90th anniversary of Sibyl Colfax &amp; John Fowler with her morning room design, inspired by Virginia Woolf\u2019s \u201cA Room of One\u2019s Own\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0The chintz fabrics were traditional Colefax &amp; Fowler, but it was the wall colour that really stood out. The yellow is from the Yellow Room\u00a0at 39 Brooke Street, where the company was based in the 1950s. It\u2019s a strong earthy tone which would work well with spicy colours or muted blues and pinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/veere-greeeney.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/veere-greeeney.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7020\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/veere-greeeney.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/veere-greeeney-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/veere-greeeney-768x512.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Another interesting bedroom was the Veere Grenney room by Schumacher.&nbsp;The star of this room for me was the Schumacher \u201cSuffolk Damask\u201d used on the four-poster bed. It shows brown fabric can be incredible in the right setting!&nbsp;&nbsp;Tiles on the bedroom walls was another interesting takeaway from this room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image The island made from handmade tiles was a dramatic centrepiece.
