The bathroom is a haven of tranquillity, the one room in the house where you can truly be alone… unless you have a cat of course. And yet many of us are stuck with bland, basic bathrooms and not the spa-like experience we deserve.<\/p>\n
Well, I\u2019m here to change all that. I\u2019m on a mission to transform all needy bathrooms into something much more decadent. A luxurious sanctuary where one can soak in the bath at the end of a hard day or even enjoy an at-home sauna.<\/p>\n
In this 2-part series, I\u2019ll be showing you how you can create a beautiful \u2018spathroom\u2019 worthy of its name. You don\u2019t need a colossal budget or huge amounts of square footage to make more of your bathroom, just a little vision and my expert guidance.<\/p>\n
The Essentials<\/strong><\/p>\n Today, we\u2019ll be starting with the essentials. Every bathroom needs, well, bathing facilities. If it\u2019s time to upgrade that 1980\u2019s avocado-green suite, you\u2019ll be pleased to hear that your options are numerous.<\/p>\n Bathroom suites can now include huge walk-in waterfall showers, Hammams, saunas, Jacuzzi baths and hot tubs. Even small spaces can indulge in rainfall showers or claw foot baths. Sinks come in all shapes and sizes too, so you\u2019re no longer limited to the practical but stylistically unimpressive pedestal basin.<\/p>\n The essentials are the building blocks of your new spathroom. I recommend choosing facilities that make you feel good, provide an atmosphere of calm and relaxation and are pleasing on the eye too. It\u2019s also important to take into consideration your family\u2019s needs.
