Pantone\nrecently announced their 2020 colour of the year. As we roar into a new decade,\none would expect the chosen colour to represent renewal and rebirth\u2026 a lush\ngreen, perhaps? Indeed, many of those who tried to predict Pantone\u2019s choice\nopted for a shade of green. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pantone, however, had other ideas and instead went for 19-4052\nClassic Blue. \u201cA timeless and\nenduring blue hue\u201d that is suggestive of the \u201csky at dusk\u201d, say Pantone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a nice\ncolour; a really<\/em> nice colour. I\u2019d\nlove a velvet sofa in this shade. But it\u2019s quite safe for a company that has\npreviously picked some really striking shades for colour of the year. Who else\nremembers Radiant Orchard and Greenery?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems\nthat Pantone have picked up on the recent shift towards slow-fashion and\nsustainable design by picking a colour that will never go out of fashion. It\u2019s\nthe kind of hue that always looks contemporary and fresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone says, \u201cWe\nare living in a time that requires trust and faith. It is this kind of\nconstancy and confidence that is expressed by Pantone 19-4052 Classic Blue, a\nsolid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In interior design, this makes Classic Blue a solid colour\nchoice. It goes with a variety of colours, including saffron yellow, pale pink\nand cherry red. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
