Concrete Plant Stand<\/strong><\/p>\n

This Scandi style plant stand may look high end, but it\u2019s actually homemade. You can make one too, following this tutorial<\/a>. It\u2019s an advanced DIY project that requires some specialist tools but\u00a0the tutorial also offers some options for simplifying it a little. It\u2019s a fun weekend project with a finished product that will look great in your home.<\/p>\n

Concrete Coasters<\/strong><\/p>\n

This one\u2019s great for using up any leftover concrete from the last project. These hexagonal coasters<\/a> are bang on trend, but the concrete gives them a timeless appeal. You could make them in any shape you desire (you\u2019ll need to create or find an appropriate mould) and leave them raw and unpainted, or choose a colour to match your home. These also make great housewarming gifts!<\/p>\n

Drum Lampshade<\/strong><\/p>\n

I shared this DIY project<\/a> on my blog back in June. Making your own drum lampshade is fun, affordable and satisfying. And you end up with a beautiful bespoke item for your home. It\u2019s a quick afternoon project and once you get the hang of it you\u2019ll be making lampshades for every room in the house.<\/p>\n

Tassel Rug<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t worry; this DIY project<\/a> doesn\u2019t involve making an entire rug from scratch.\u00a0This one is just a great lesson in the benefit of learning a few very simple craft skills. For instance, a plain rug becomes much more interesting when you add some tassels. Quick, easy and instantly gratifying!<\/p>\n

Pom Pom Cushion Cover<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love this\u00a0gorgeous Anthropologie inspired cushion cover<\/a>. This is another project that requires little effort for maximum effect. The DIY tutorial suggests gluing the pom poms to the cover, which is fine if the cushion is for decorative use only. You could also sew them on, if you want the cushion to be a little more durable.<\/p>\n
