My mind always turns to outdoor spaces at this time of year (check out a couple of past blog posts on this theme <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/interior-design-trends\/gardening-trends-for-springsummer-16\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clairstrong.co.uk\/blog\/inspiration-and-theory\/the-best-of-garden-furniture-part-2\">here<\/a>) and what\u2019s new in garden design.<\/p>\n<p>Pinterest is a great source of inspiration, and I\u2019ve seen some incredible spaces crop up on my feed. So today, rather than round up the trends like usual, I thought I\u2019d simply provide you with some eye candy. Here we&#8217;ve collated a collection of really beautiful outdoor spaces to inspire your next garden renovation project.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This beautiful patio area is a fantastic example of an outdoor \u2018room\u2019. I love the use of traditionally indoor details like the rugs, lamp and wall decoration. You can see more of this beautiful space (including close up details) on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oldbrandnew.com\/blog\/2016\/8\/patio-makeover-with-west-elm\">Old Brand New blog<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/stylebyemilyhenderson.com\/blog\/intro-new-courtyard\">tiled flooring of this courtyard patio<\/a> is a very striking alternative to timber decking. The blue and white colour scheme is evocative of Mediterranean terraces and I love the metallic accents. All in all this is the kind of space I could happily waste entire days in.<\/li>\n<li>There\u2019s really no denying the charms of a <a href=\"http:\/\/rockmystyle.co.uk\/rebeccas-victorian-home-tour\/\">traditional English country garden<\/a> with its intentionally overflowing flower borders, perfectly mown lawn and enviable summer house.<\/li>\n<li>You can do <a href=\"http:\/\/beachhouse10.blogspot.com\/2012\/04\/vihervaja-parvekkeelle-kevaan.html\">a lot with a little space<\/a>, including growing your own produce, as this balcony shows. I like the minimalism of this space, it\u2019s functional yet inviting. And being able to look out onto all that greenery must be really refreshing in an urban landscape.<\/li>\n<li>Who wouldn\u2019t want to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockshop.com.au\/store\/room\/simon-shannon-apartment-6-reveal-2-roof-terrace\">lounge on their own private roof terrace<\/a> complete with designer furniture, stylish fire pit and views over the city?
