Bath is such a vibrant city, with an incredible arts and music scene. There\u2019s always something happening; exhibitions, gigs, festivals (like the popular <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathfringe.co.uk\/\">Bath Fringe Festival<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/bathfestivals.org.uk\/music\/\">Bath International Music Festival<\/a> which in May celebrated its 68<sup>th<\/sup> year). And most of it is family friendly too.<\/p>\n<p>So here\u2019s my round-up of some of the most exciting events to happen this summer. Whether you\u2019re a proud local or coming in from further afield, these will be well worth a visit:<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Room of Their Own: Lost Bloomsbury Interiors 1914-30, Victoria Gallery, 11 June \u2013 4 Sept<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.victoriagal.org.uk\/events\/room-their-own-lost-bloomsbury-interiors-1914-30\">fascinating exhibition<\/a> for lovers of iconic interior design. Recreating several of the lost interiors on which Roger Fry, Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant worked in the early 20<sup>th<\/sup> century. This exhibition reunites paintings and objects that have not been seen together in over 50 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bath Boules Fest, June 17-19 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathboules.com\/\">Bath Boules<\/a> is a summer party with a French twist, held every year in Queen\u2019s Square. Highlights include a boules tournament (anyone can enter the competition) and food festival with fancy dress and lots of booze. All in aid of charity too!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bath Carnival, 16<sup>th <\/sup>July<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme is Amazonas \u2013 a Brazilian state named after the Amazon River. Inspired by Rio Carnival, where people come together to represent their community. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathcarnival.co.uk\/#!2016-theme\/c13p7\">Bath Carnival<\/a> is a vibrant day of music, dancing and costumes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bath Folk Festival, Aug 6 -14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now in its 7<sup>th<\/sup> year, <a href=\"http:\/\/bathfolkfestival.org\/\">Bath Folk Festival<\/a> is an exciting and diverse music event. The festival showcases some of the best folk acts from around the world alongside a host of other activities including a summer school and dance workshops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bath Kids Literature Festival, 30 Sept \u2013 9<sup>th<\/sup> Oct<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bathfestivals.org.uk\/childrens-literature\/\">Bath Kids Literature Festival<\/a> is the largest festival of its kind in the UK.
